We are deeply saddened to hear about historic concerns reported in the press, most recently the Roy’s Report, relating to Alan Scott’s time at Causeway Coast Vineyard. We recognise the bravery it takes to speak up, and are grateful to those who have raised concerns. We are praying for those who have come forward in this difficult time.
Causeway Coast Vineyard (CCV) and Vineyard Churches UK & Ireland (VCUKI) are committed to caring for and safeguarding those who attend and visit our churches. The trustees of both CCV and VCUKI were made aware of concerns raised by people in the UK with Vineyard USA after the announcement that Vineyard Anaheim was leaving the Vineyard movement. On being made aware of those concerns CCV and VCUKI commissioned an independent review process run by an experienced third party. This process is nearing completion and we hope to comment more fully in the coming weeks.
We recognise that recent press reports may have caused or raised concerns for others who are not part of that process.
If you have concerns relating to safeguarding or problematic behaviour of any sort, we would ask you to get in touch with Vineyard Churches UK & Ireland at [email protected] or by calling 01482 462690.
You may also want to contact thirtyone:eight which runs an independent safeguarding helpline where someone will listen to what you have to say, and can provide compassionate and clear advice. They can be contacted on 0303 003 1111. They have written this article which has some helpful content to consider.
The trustees of CCV can be contacted at [email protected]
We continue to pray for all concerned.

Note: Neil and Janet Young are the senior pastors at Causeway Coast Vineyard. They are fully supportive of the trustees in dealing with these concerns and have recused themselves from the process given their relationship with Alan and Kathryn Scott.
