During our church service today (Sunday 20th October 2024) we got to share some amazing news. In case you missed it, we have appointed Laura Bell as our new Senior Pastor. You can see a short video introducing Laura here.
Laura is an incredible apostolic and pioneering leader with a huge amount of church experience. Her appointment comes at the end of a rigorous search process which saw the search team, SLT, trustees and Vineyard leadership fully united. There is lots to tell you about Laura but for now we are going to start with 5 C’s.
Calling – those involved in the search were really struck by Laura’s strong and clear sense of God calling her back to the North Coast and to serve here at CCV.
Church – Laura has been in church ministry for 16 years and so comes to us with lots of experience. Much of that time was at CFC Belfast where she has been involved in leading, teaching, pastoring and planting.
Charismatic – many involved in the search noted Laura’s charismatic personality, but also her supernatural gifting in the apostolic, leadership and wisdom. We are excited to appoint a pioneering leader for this next season of CCV.
Coleraine – Laura and her husband Chris are both from Coleraine and know and love this area. They are excited to be coming back home and we are excited to welcome them.
Culture – throughout the interview process Laura would talk about vision, mission and values when it came to setting culture. She has valuable experience of transition and building a healthy church culture.
We could probably add another ‘C’ in the shape of Laura’s husband Chris and her two daughters. We look forward to welcoming the whole family into our church community. Please do pray for them all as they say goodbye to CFC and prepare to move North. Hopefully Laura will start with us early in the new year and there should be chances to connect with her before then.
We are so thankful for God for his faithfulness to us as a church and for answering our prayers for a new Senior Pastor. We have an incredible sense of unity that Laura is the person to lead us in our vision of being a healthy, missional, supernatural and compassionate church community pursuing God’s heart for the Causeway Coast area.
